MY FAVORITE WEEKEND HERE @ UCSD:
I volunteered and hosted for Scholars Society Overnight Stay Program (OSP) this weekend and had the best time of my life. When I attended them as a prospective student, Admit Day programs scared me a lot. The ones I went to were kind of awkward. They were informative, but just eh-ish. I spent THE entire day with these kids and 12+ hours later, I'm the happiest I've ever been this quarter and missing everyone I met.
I can't believe how many hugs were going around! I never got THAT attached to anyone I ever met at OSP's but in one day, I got attached to absolutely everyone. Here are my favorite hugs. There was a hug from a girl I hosted, who came looking for me just to say goodbye (even though she knows she'll see me next year b/c she's coming to UCSD!). There was a hug from another girl I hosted, who's still undecided but promised to let me know wherever she decides to go. There was a hug from a girl who shares my name, who I barely had a full conversation with, but completely clicked with. There was a hug from a guy in my scavenger hunt group, who is also undecided, but let me know how much he appreciated the fun times at OSP. I don't know about you, but hugs represent a pretty high level of love in my book. These were some special hugs (: I remember you, A, D, J, J and all the other amazing kids I met! As much as I'd love to see you all here next year, I will be happy for you no matter what. Thanks for the memories, the friendship, the laughter, and the best hugs

ReplyDeleteAs is everyone else. It was fun getting to know you guys (ish) and spending a couple hours with you. I think my favorite part was the Death Cab for Cutie song. That was a good moment. Oh college. Bet you kiddies just can't wait! It is 100000000000000000000000 times better than high school. I hope you all choose UCSD because I want to get to know you guys better and spend more time with y'all.
awww hugs hugs hugs :)))))) gotta love them... ah i can't wait to see who comes!! i have a feeling scholars society is gonna be a lot more active :) but when i heard j wasn't coming, i think i cried a little inside :(
